Im-jaich Boardinghouse Bremerhaven

The first thing what you need to do if you check-in after 9 pm is to understand how to enter the parking (hint - use the black key :p ) The room itself was okay, a bit boring though. The reception was always empty. On checkout we legitimately were thinking that if the reception is closed without any instructions about checkout, then we should leave the keys in the box and that the payment will be processed using the credit card in booking. But no.... We got a call 1.5 hours that our room is unpayed. It should not be a big deal as today it is simple to transfer money online.... But not with this hotel. We had to return back (1h driving one way from Bremen and yes they new where we were) to pay by physical card. They refused to accept bank transfer (the one with IBAN and BIC), which is very strange as any business in Germany works with the bank transfers and one can find the account number on their website.... Very bad 😔

As business couple and sailors we looked for a base from where we could visit suppliers but also have a look at the surroundings of Bremerhaven, Cuxhaven end Bremen. Because we spent quite some time in hotels we looked for a quite place, not near staircases or lift and not near nightlife. All our wishes were heard and we were received very friendly. For us the possibility of cooking a modest meal was also fine. The view on the yacht-harbor beneath us appealed to us as sailors. A private parking for our car also made it possible to visit nearby places. We could also have used the train from Bremerhaven. A perfect location. The apartment was clean, simple, beds fine...We often chose not te eat breakfast as I only eat very little in the morning, but breakfast also OK if you wish to. Otherwise many options nearby, also dining out which we did at Strom. Excellent food.
